Baji Lance

Lance training in the Baji system is important not only for its development of destructive power especially in the battlefield but also in the enhancement of empty-handed and other short weapons skills. Many other systems of Kung Fu also include spear training as a method of strengthening their training in open-hand techniques.

Sifu James Guo teaches the Six-Harmony Lance in Toronto, and has written a book "Chinese Spear Techniques" which is to be published in the near future. His goal is to promote traditional Chinese lancing skills into a competitive sport and as such workshops and competitions are organized on a regular basis in Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa.
